PSR Antisezona22 (ANTI)SEASON OF HIGH RISK – FINALE
PSR Antisezona22 – (ANTI)Season of High Risk – Finale 18.-20.11. und 26.-27.11.2022
At the other end of the HIGH RISK (ANTI) SEASON, if we count the June one as the first, and this winter one as the real FINALE, we were finally greeted by two premieres by ANTISEZONA artists. The artistic organization Object of dance/Objekt plesa presented a new work, a manifesto with the same title OBJEKT PLESA, in which the author Sonja Pregrad expands the concept of drag from the body (identity) to movement, dance, speech and the very idea of the play (theatre). We have invited Zrinka Užbinec's performance EXPLODED GOO to participate and co-appear. Her dance is born from the desire to choreographically challenge the normative and one-layered perception of the body, standing up for the monstrous, "in-between" body, the slimy body of an exploded machine. With CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE DANCE KIND that took place after both performances, we will open a dialogue about the monstrous montage of the sensory body.
The second part of the block brought the premiere of the artistic organization Kik Melone JAVA. Darko Japelj and Silvia Marchig, after almost 10 years since the last co-author meeting, entered the process of performing poetry and poetic choreography, establishing performative protocols of circular temporality. JAVA was supposed to premiere in June, but the high risk and unpredictability of the living tissue of ANTISEZONA 22 places it at the FINALS of this block in order to catch echoes of intensity in its network.
In addition to these areas of dialogue, we are extremely pleased with Lana Hosni's renewed invitation to CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ASSUMPTIONS, BELIEFS AND HABITS WHICH CIRCULATE IN THE COMMON SPACE OF DANCE, WHETHER WANTED OR UNWANTED, which will be held individually framing the performance programs.

MORE ABOUT WORKS
EXPLODED GOO / Zrinka Užbinec
Friendly warning - The play features a head that looks at its own backside from afar, a large belly, tiny glowing eyes with a dangerous look, a closed mouth that bites making unpleasant noises, and some unusable fingernails. You can also see a short dance for an imaginary cat and a foot kicking the air.
Exploded Goo is a choreographed attempt at assembling monsters. It is inspired by photomontage clips and is composed of exploded parts of movements, gestures, images and meanings. Dance of the Exploded Slime arises from the desire to choreographically challenge the normative and one-layered perception of the body, standing up for the monstrous, "in-between" body, the slimy body of the exploded machine.
With this work, Zrinka Užbinec explores the chimerical and montage perception of the dancing body, paying attention to interruptions and "glitches" of her own dance.
Concept: Zrinka Užbinec

DANCE OBJECT / Sonja Pregrad
The new work, like the music album, bears the name of the newly founded organization that produces it, recording the space of body research, materiality and performance as well as their status within the relationship between the media of dance and other performance genres (drag performance, spoken-word performance, visual art, theater).
What can the dear name Objekt plesa tell us about? What is the love of contemporary dance? In this solo, I try to stretch the concept of dear from the body (identity) to movement and dance, speech and even the very idea of the play (theatre). I take over, marvel and modify how I perform the demands of social norms - gender, body, mobility, work, dance, splitting the roles of author, spectator and recipient of the performance into fragments less than singular.
What if I write from your work, and she writes from mine and his and hers, and then I take her voice, or give her mine, or withdraw my voice, or bring in hers? Where are you and us then? On the skin, nearness, on death, draft, silence, on something, and on someone, on departure, arrival, on interruption and on connection, discontinuity, on the corners of holes, interruptions of the end'

JAVA / Kik Melone
Two passengers in the Gorgon flying saucer try to piece together a memory of Life. Two performers interpret their past and read their future from salvaged signs on stage. As persistent as crows, they rummage and recycle everything that comes under their beak, in an attempt to establish a performance protocol. Darko and Silvia. And non-Darko and non-Silvia. When we open our mouths, beaks, what do we hear? How do our bodies move? Have we remained consistent with our eccentric, spectacular gestures? Is it necessary to renew the exorcism in front of the audience? Or is it enough to just be, (un)consciously, in the passage of time?
The desire to create something new is still alive. The birds in our hearts continue to click and mock transience in the face.
Each of us has a dark bird above our head. She sees what we do not see in the interpretation of ourselves.
- Bartabas, les Cantiques du Corbeau
You don't need to be a poet to be prone to Apophenia, to seek meaningful patterns in the scattered, senseless data of the everyday.
