SuSy internship Almedina Meštrovac at NDA Slovenia

Almedina Meštrovac was selected by NDA Slovenia for a 2 months internship during CoFestival 2019.

“My work began when I was informed with the activity plan for this years Co Festival and arranging different solutions for transportation of valuable art work by the artists from various locations to Slovenia. To be precise, we needed a suitable transport for a wheelchair that was included into a performance.

For a warm welcome, I prepared all the material for each participant that would help them during their stay. The material included the complete schedule for last year’s edition of Co Festival, as well as the festival programme, a map for the city, info kit and most importantly, the free pass, which allowed them a free pass to all festival events. Within this project I helped with the production, such as coordinating the volunteers that assisted us to establish efficient programme. Each volunteer was present at the performance, to guide our guests with information they needed or wanted, therefore helping us ensure that the event went smoothly. It was a great way to connect with all the performing artists and audience. The CoFestival took place in different venues and therefore I helped with the preparations for rehearsals or performances and when needed I managed the transportation for our visitors. During my time working on CoFestival, I believe I gained a lot of amount of confidence as well as organizational and communications skills that will benefit my future.” (Almedina Meštrovac)

It was a great help having Almedina in our team, helping in execution with production.  We passed a lot of information and knowledge, but also give her free hands to find solution and maintaining with the work. She was engaged and collaborative, reporting but also asking for additional support or information. She helped preparing necessaries for CoFestival and also helping around with artists and audiencias. For sure, Almedina will be of great help also in the future edition of CoFestival and possibly also more to that.
