PSR Dialogue Part 1

PSR Dialogue Part 1

Symposium
Old Power Station Ljubljana

The Dialogue Symposium has been created as part of the project Physical Manifestations by Snježana Premuš. It conceptually continues the format of the laboratories Reflection in Action, that is, a reflection on action in the broader platform of knowledge and experience exchange. These laboratories were established in 2012 as part of the project Physical Manifestations with the aim of creating a space where people (artists, professionals, audiences) could meet, practise and reflect on the various aspects of the importance of physicality in our society. They are built upon a critical attitude to the structure of events such as conferences, seminars, classical symposia, which are conducted in a sitting position and with a static body and gaze.

Practical workshops, studios or laboratories, on the other hand, mainly exchange experiences. The formats presented at the Dialogue Symposium thus explore the intermediate spaces in which the sharp divides are erased and a completely different discussion environment can be established.

STREAMING

Workshop 1: Seeds 21 and 22 October 2020, at 13.30–14.15

Workshop 2: Every now is time, space 21 and 22 October 2020, at 18.00–18.45

The Workshop is a space for meeting and tuning-in to simultaneous micro-spaces, which are framed by a sound-light installation. In the streaming format, we will carry out the Workshop in the form of sound-tuning scores in which the participants will deepen their contemplation through the offered elements of the Workshop (text, sound, thought, silence, attention).

The Workshop “Seeds” deals with the transitioning between the horizontal and vertical position in the specific sound/light space.

The Workshop “Every Now is Time, Space” deals with the horizontal and vertical elements in the body as well as in the social-political and the poetic space.

Zrinka Simičić Mihanović /Jobbágy Bernadett / Snježana Premuš / Anja Bornšek

A Dialogue between four creators and somatic researchers through dance. Four agreements which can create four spaces or more. All four creators come from the common practice of BMC, which through their work they question, share, discover together with people, in the horizontal spaces of co-participation. Through the Dialogue and together with the public, we’ll open up a look at those spaces and how we can together co-create them.

Anja Bornšek is a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. She graduated from Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) in 2007 and received her master’s in the study of dance education at the University HfMDK in Frankfurt in 2014, then furthered her studies of somatics with a two-year study of Body-Mind Centering method (Moveus, Germany).
