[8:tension] Young Choreographers' Series 2019

Not quite as dystopian as the Grimme Award-winning series "Beat" unfolds the [8: tension] Young Choreographers’ Series 2019. However, at least as thrilling and musical, as excitingly smart and ecstatic. From works that are close to language, such as Eric Arnal- Burtschy’s "Why we fight" to astonishing new interpretations of the beginnings of contemporary dance, from the ancient oracle to the anthropophagic manifesto, from Shakespeare’s „Sweet Thunder“ or Yung Hurn’s trippy Vienna Anthem up to an intense and intimate engagement with sexuality and care: 12 positions from Sao Paulo to Cairo or Moscow convey a complex and sensual portrait of our time.
