Residency for Jillian Peña

Residency for Jillian Peña

In 2014, Jillian Peña was awarded the European prize for emerging choreography, the Prix Jardin d’Europe 2014, for her production “Polly Pocket”. This prize included EUR 10.000,- for a new performance production, as well as a 2 weeks residency. This residency took place from August 1 – 16, 2015 at the ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival. Jillian was offered a studio space that she could use for further research on her latest performance production, together with her two collaborators Andrew Champlin and Alexandra Weibrecht. Additionally, they had the chance to visit some performances of ImPulsTanz and could exchange a lot with the further artists present at European biggest festival and as such received important input for their research.
