residency for Amanda Apetrea and Halla Ólafsdóttir
In 2013, Amanda Apetrea and Halla Ólafsdóttir were awarded the European prize for emerging choreography, the Prix Jardin d’Europe 2013, for their production “Beauty and the Beast”. This prize included EUR 10.000,- for a new performance production, as well as a 2 weeks residency. This residency took place from August 1 – 17, 2014 at the ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival. Amanda and Halla were offered a studio space that they could use for further research on their latest performance production. Additionally, they had the chance to visit some performances of ImPulsTanz and could exchange a lot with the further artists present at European biggest festival and as such received important input for their research.
