PREMIERE "ECCE (H)OMO" by Paula Pi

To depart, once more and always, from what is already there, JC* would say.
In every sense of the word depart, CS*would say.
There and there, which are also yesterday and today, another JC replies.

To pass from one body to another, from one language to another, from one history to another. ECCE (H)OMO is a desire to reflect in action on the notion of inheritance in dance through an interpretation of the dance cycle "Afectos Humanos” by German choreographer Dore Hoyer (1911-1967). Deployed desire, multiple desire, embodied desire and desire of anachronism, desire to create an intimacy with what is foreign to the, desire of translation, desire to affect(iv)ate, to seek one's dance in the dance someone else.

The cycle "Afectos Humanos" is a collection of five short solos on the theme of human affections: Pride/Vanity, Greed, Hate, Fear and Love, created by Hoyer between 1959-1962.
