Barbis creates the genre „performical", where she explores the boundaries of performance and pop culture.
Performance artists like Marina Abramović have advertising contracts with Adidas design coffee cups and become the most wanted accessories of pop stars such as Kanye West, Jay-Z or Lady Gaga.
Vice versa pop stars use the techniques of the performance art on stage and in their music videos.
So what is the original, what is the copy? Barbis copies herself first, creating four „Babes“ that fight for attention.
